Goblin Wood is a merge game. You’re given goblins that you can merge together to make them stronger. You can use them to cut down obstacles in order to reach the exit of the level.

Gameplay

You’re given goblins that you can use to break down obstacles. You can combine 2 goblins with the same level to merge them into 1 goblin of a higher level. This will allow it to break obstacles faster. The amount of time it takes to break an obstacle depends on the level of the obstacle. To win a level, you need to break the portal at the end of the level, once you do that, you can advance to the next level. Whenever you proceed to a new level, you lose all goblins and coins you accumulated in the previous level. Everything else you can collect will stay with you.

At the start of each level, you start off with a laboratory that passively gives you coins. These can be used to buy goblins. Every time you buy a goblin, the next one you buy becomes exponentially more expensive. After you’ve bought a few goblins, the level of the next few goblins you buy goes up. Each level has a number of potion factories. You can unlock them by cutting into them with your goblins. These can give you even more coins. To collect the coins from them, you’ll need to manually click on them, unless you upgrade their corresponding rune to a specific level. You can upgrade magic runes with magic dust and some copies of that rune. If you have a high enough rune for a potion factory, it will automatically collect its own coins even while you’re offline.

The storage mini game allows you to break rocks. Each rock contains a random reward which could be time skips, goblns, magic dust, rubies, runes or even chests. To break a rock, you need tokens. You can get 15 for free every day. You can also get 15 every time you watch an ad. The maximum amount of ads you can watch at once is 5 before they need to start regenerating again.

Rubies serve as the premium currency in this game. You can get anything with them.

Login Tasks

These were by far the easiest tasks to complete. You just had to log into the game, play a bit for a minute or two and you’d be rewarded. If you never plan on playing a game like this one, then you could just download it for the login rewards and you’d make $1.60.

Timed Tasks

I don’t think these are possible without spending money on the game. Since I didn’t spend any money on the game, I wasn’t able to commplete any of these. If you’re thinking of taking this offer, disregard the $210 you can earn from the timed tasks.

Play and Progress Tasks

I’m not too sure how these are calculated. There’s a repeating task that awards $0.02 every time you complete it. There are also one time play and progress tasks, both of which I still am nowhere near completing. Together they award $25.

Specific Level Tasks

I doubt that all the level tasks are possible, unless you’re very dedicated. You’d need to keep up at a high pace, completing 1 level per day.

Bottlenecks

The first few levels go by relatively swiftly. There aren’t too many obstacles before you reach the goal and they don’t take too long for your goblins to cut down. However the rest of the game is not as easy. There are times where you’ll need to log in every 20-40 minutes to move your goblins after they’ve broken down an obstacle, so they break the next one. Other times, you’ll need to wait a couple hours until your goblins break down a checkpoint or a goal.

If you’re unable to login frequently, there are free time skip boosters that you can get, either through the sale shop which refreshes every 3 days or by watching some rewarded ads. I would use these whenever your goblin needs to break through multiple layers of obstacles that each take 10-30 minutes.

If your goblins need to break through an obstacle that takes over 4 hours, try to plan that they work on that obstacle over night. That way the next day, you can continue.

Something I also found a little annoying is that an ad will play whenever you unlock a new laboratory, pass a checkpoint or move to the next level. You can close and reopen the app or wait 5-10 seconds to skip the ad, but I thought that was worth mentioning

TLDR: Try to be active during the times when you need to move your goblins around and let the game be when the goblins need to cut down a large, time consuming obstacle.

Tips

There are event maps that you can play. These work exactly the same as the normal levels, except they’re only around for a limited time, usually around 2-4 days. I’d highly recommend playing through them, as you can break key obstacles to get rewards that will help you on the regular levels.

It’s better to log into the game multiple times a day than once a day, as most obstacles need a couple minutes up to a few hours to break, meaning you’ll constantly need to be moving your goblins. If this isn’t something you’re up for, then I wouldn’t recommend this game

Try to watch the rewarded ads for the storage mini game. I’ve been hoarding those coins and use those whenever I need to get through a section of multiple 10-30 minutes obstacles, so that I don’t need to log in every 10-30 minutes. You can win time skips through that mini game as well as runes that help you speed through those sections.

How the offer’s been going

I’ll be regularly updating my progress with the offer. I’ll let you know what milestones I’ve reached, as well as how much time was spent on the app. Keep in mind that the app was not just open for active play. I regularly watch rewarded ads or occasionally leave the game open so a bonus chest spawns. This obviously doesn’t count as active play.

As of now, I personally think I’ll just about make it to level 40 but probably not level 50 before day 60. I need at least 2 days per level.

As of Day 54 – 30th August 2025, I’ve made $5.58 and the app has been open for 78 hours and 16 minutes
Since I’m not done with the offer, the amount earnt can still change (hopefully for the better)

I’ve personally made $0.07/h up to now with this game. Not great, considering with a website like Serpclix, I can make $0.10 just by completing 1-2 offers, taking up to 5 minutes and little to no effort.

The game doesn’t require much effort. Besides having to open the app multiple times a day, all you need to do is move and merge your gobins and watch rewarded ads to get further. For me, most of the time I spend on the game is just me “watching” rewarded ads. The most tedious part is just checking the game multiple times a day.

If you love merge games, I can recommend this game, especially if you’re someone who enjoys playing a game that doesn’t require a lot of effort. I’d recommend this to people who commute for 15-20 minutes a day and want to fill that time with anything. It’s also not bad if you’re someone who voice calls or video calls friends regularly and you enjoy doing something that requires little to no brain power during the call.
I personally mostly play this game whenever I’m commuting or on a discord call with friends. As for the rewarded ads, I mostly have them running, whenever I’m doing tasks that don’t require too much concentration.

If you’d like to try out this offer, it may still be available on FreeCash, though I do not recommend this game. Despite it being relatively low effort, the pay is awful.
