Microsoft Rewards – Bing pays you to search!

Microsoft pays you up to $5 a month just by searching with bing! You can profit by searching on your browser as well as on your phone

How does Microsoft Rewards work?

Microsoft Rewards is a reward program for using the bing search engine as well as for using the bing mobile app. You earn 3 points every time you make a search, capping at 30 points [10 paid searches] a day at level 1 or up to 150 points [50 paid searches] a day at level 2 (90 points on PC and 60 points on mobile). 1000 points is equal to $1.

There are also daily search offers that you can click. I get 5 each day. Each one gives 10 points. By completing the first 3 of them, which I’ll refer to as the daily set, each day, you can build up a daily set streak, earning you streak bonuses. Sometimes you’ll get the streak bonus after completing the daily set for 3, 5 or 10 days in a row. The rule is, you’ll earn 15 points per day as a streak bonus. If you need to get a streak of 3, 5 or 10 before you get your bonus, you’ll earn 45, 75 or 150 points respectively. The other 2 are bonus searches that also award 10 points each day. They’re not part of any daily streak though.

Lastly there’s the 3 daily streaks. If you search 3 times with bing, you’ll receive a 9 point bonus. If you check into the bing app, you’ll receive a 5-15 point bonus. Lastly, if you spend 30 minutes a day with the microsoft edge application open, you’ll receive a 5 point bonus. Completing one of these daily tasks for 7 days in a row will award you a puzzle piece and a point bonus of 50-100 points. Collect 12 puzzle pieces and you’ll receive a 1000 point bonus.

What are levels?

When you first join the reward program, you’ll be at level 1. The only difference I’ve noticed in Switzerland is the daily point search cap being significantly lower for level 1 users (30 points) compared to level 2 users (150 points). To reach level 2, you’ll need to earn 500 points in the previous month. Once you’ve earnt 500 points in a month, you’ll be promoted to level 2. To stay there, you’ll need to earn 500 points each following month, otherwise you’ll lose your status.

From personal experience, it’s not too difficult to stay at level 2. Your daily set earns you 30 points + 20 points for the 2 bonus searches. Just 5 clicks a day earn you 50 points a day, which adds up to way more than 500 points each month.

Tips to maximize earnings

Always check into the bing app and make sure you complete your daily set. This alone will earn you at least $0.04 a day and it takes less than a minute. If you don’t care about which browser or search engine you use, just using bing can earn you a little pocket change.

Microsoft Rewards also offers a referral program. This will earn you an additional point each time the person you referred makes a search on bing. You’ll only earn additional points from your referrals for their first year using Microsoft Rewards. Even if you refer dozens of people, the daily amount of points you can earn from this program is capped at 500 points daily. Payout

Depending on your country, you may have more or less payout methods. You can’t pay out your points to paypal or to your bank. However, you can convert them to gift cards. Depending on the type of gift card you’d like to redeem, the conversion rates can differ. You can also use your points to donate to charities and good causes. When it comes to charities, donating 1000 points will always equate to donating a $1 to your chosen cause.

Take a 50 Fr. ($62.16 as of writing) gift card. That would cost me 71’200 points. Essentially meaning I’ll get an 87.3% return on my points. Compare that to a 800 Robux gift card, which would be $9.99. That would cost me 12’000 points. Here I’d get an 83.25% return on my points. As far as I can tell, the return on your points will mostly be at around 80%. You can do the math by taking the value of the gift card you’re redeeming in USD and divide that by the USD value of your points (1000 points = 1 USD).

I wouldn’t recommend this, but you can auto withdraw your points for a certain gift card or charity of your choice. This feature is for people who don’t want to worry about redeeming their points. I suppose for charitable causes it makes sense, so you can constantly keep using your points to support a good cause. I personally prefer saving up my points as I believe more gift card options could be added in my country in the future, as there aren’t too many options here.

Payout proof

From my experience, it only takes a few minutes at most to receive your gift card pin once you redeem it. You may have to quickly verify your identity occasionally, but that’s about it.

Conclusion – Earnings, Effort and Personal Opinion

If you max out your searches each day on level 2, you’ll earn $0.15. Now if you include all the other daily tasks, streaks, ect… you can earn up to $0.25 a day! That’s $7.50 a month!! And that’s just in Switzerland. Chances are if you live in the USA or in Europe, you’ll get a lot more bonus tasks that you can do daily, leading to more earnings!

If you max out everything you can do, you’d need about 15 minutes a day most likely, as you cannot spam searches to farm points anymore. There is a small cooldown between searches.

I think a realistic amount most people would earn is about $0.10 a day, which is $3 a month. This means you’ve do your daily set + the 2 bonus tasks, 10 searches and you check into the bing app. All that would take about 5 minutes of your time each day. Since this is supposed to be a passive method of online income, you’ll mostly be earning from microsoft rewards by searching as you normally do but just with bing.

Out of all the GPT sites I know, microsoft rewards has the best program I know of. By searching 17 times, you earn as much as 1 click on SerpClix. If you could only choose 1 GPT site to use, I would use Microsoft Rewards. If you’re interested in trying it out, here’s my referral link:
